Divisional Overview

The University of Pennsylvania’s Division of Facilities and Real Estate Services works with Penn’s schools and centers to support the University’s physical infrastructure. We work hard to provide valuable information and services to the students, faculty, staff, alumni, and vendors of Penn. Under the direction of the Vice President, the Division provides the expertise, business processes, policies and standards required to plan, design, construct, operate, maintain and renew the physical assets of the University.

STEP-UP Recognition Program

The objective of this new Reward & Recognition Program is to recognize and encourage those behaviors that lead directly to the accomplishments of the University’s and FRES stated mission. Within our Division, our STEP-UP Program provides a means to recognize FRES staff for exemplary behavior, displaying the following attributes: Safe Work Practices, Teamwork, Eminent Service, Pioneering, Urgent Action, and Proactive.  The STEP-UP brochure explains the details about this new program.  We appreciate your interest in our staff.

Nomination forms may be submitted by anyone at locations listed in the brochure. To be considered, nominations should contain: details of an event where above and beyond attributes have been demonstrated by FRES staff and nominator contact information.  A team of volunteers will process the nominations and ensure recognition and rewards are distributed for these noted achievements.
