VP Joe Biden visits FRES at 3101 Walnut |
Vice President Biden, Governor Rendell, Senators Casey and Specter, Mayor Nutter and other government officials visited Penn on February 27 for the inaugural Middle Class Task Force Meeting. FRES hosted Biden, six cabinet secretaries and task force members at the Left Bank to showcase current building projects, give a tour of the operations command center and explain energy conservation initiatives underway, while exhibiting how the University is playing a role in creating green jobs through our management of utilities, construction, transit, and recycling initiatives on campus and in the surrounding community.
