Travel Advisory - University Avenue Water Main Repair: 04/28/08

Revised 05/19/08... Phase 1 is approximately 2 weeks behind schedule.

Excavation began on April 28th, for the repair of water main components beneath University Avenue, between Baltimore Ave and the 34th Street Drawbridge. The project will be completed in two phases and continue for approximately 2 -1/2 months, ending in mid July... work is scheduled between the hours of 9:00 am and 4:00 pm.

Phase 1 - Revised
- Time: 9:00 am - 4:00 pm
- Starting: April 28, 2008
- Ending: May 12, 2008 - extended 2 weeks
- Streets Affected: The Northbound right lane will be closed on University Avenue between Baltimore Avenue and Civic Center Blvd.

Phase 2 - Revised
- Time: 9:00 am - 4:00 pm
- Starting: end of May, 2008
- Ending: mid July, 2008
- Streets Affected: The Southbound right lane will be closed on University Avenue between Civic Center Blvd and the 34th Street Drawbridge.

Alternate Routes. See: Driving to the Campus
- Motorists travelling Eastbound on I-76 should consider exiting at either South Street, 30th Street or Spring Garden Street exits.
- Motorists travelling Westbound on I-76 should consider exiting at South Street or the Chestnut Street exit.
