Just Salad Launches 2nd Philadelphia Location with $2 Meal Deal

PHILADELPHIA, PA (April 10, 2018) — Just Salad, the beloved healthy fast casual restaurant chain, is opening its second Philadelphia location today at 3728 Spruce Street, with a Grand Opening celebration planned for Thursday, April 12, 2018.

“Philly has responded incredibly to Just Salad -- customers love that they no longer need to pay over $10 for salads with tons of local and organic options,” said Just Salad CEO and founder Nick Kenner. “The Just Salad Reusable Bowl program has also been a hit as 15% of our Philly customers participate thereby saving money and plastic every day.”

The fast-casual, value based restaurant chain offers salads, wraps, toast boxes and more starting at $7.49, and serve over 10 item under $10. Their new location is in the center of the University of Pennsylvania and within walking distance to the country’s top hospitals, a key reason for choosing this location, according to Kenner.

“You have health-conscious students, university administrators and thousands of nurses and doctors working nearby who want to eat healthy,” Kenner said. “And that’s why we set prices that work for students, parents, top executives, and everyone in between.”

On April 12th, Just Salad will offer $2 salads at its official Grand Opening Event.

From 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm, all chef-designed menu items will be available for only $2 for anyone who follows the brand on Instagram @justsalad. The team will also be giving away prizes, free samples, and 100 of their signature Just Salad Reusable Bowls, which provide guests with free toppings (like avocado) every time they bring them into the store.

“We’re excited at Penn to welcome Just Salad to our urban culinary scene, as part of the University’s dynamic retail portfolio mix of shopping, dining, and services,” said Ed Datz, Penn’s Executive Director of Real Estate.  “This new popular concept has everyday offerings recognized for supporting our local community’s healthy eating and wellness interests, along with sustainability goals of waste reduction and energy conservation.”

The company proudly operates the largest reusable bowl program in the world, helping save over 75,000 pounds of plastic every year.
