Delco Steaks  

Cheesesteak shop Delco Steaks opened  at Franklin's Table Food Hall in December 2022. The local chain is committed to using Delaware Valley sourced meats and dairy, and won a 'Best of Philly' nod from Philly Mag in 2021. El Taco

Mexican restaurant El Taco opened its new location at 3716 Spruce Street in early March. Locally owned and operated, El Taco has served delicious made-from-scratch fare, including crispy tacos, quesadillas, and burrito bowls, at its Powelton Village location since 2018. Founded by Penn alumni, El Taco is committed to bringing meaningful, team-based employment opportunities, as well as fresh, innovative cuisine, to the University City community. KPOD

 KPOD, a contemporary Korean-American restaurant located at 3636 Sansom Street, opened to buzz in February 2022. The Starr Restaurants' space blends modern cuisine from acclaimed Philadelphia chef Peter Serpico with a sleek and open design, reinvigorating the space formerly occupied by POD, a long time University City staple.
