Penn First Plus and Paideia coming to College Hall

A $5.1M renovation of the ground floor space in College Hall will create a welcoming space for the first-generation and low-income students of Penn First Plus. As part of the University's commitment to all Penn students, the new 2,500 sq. ft.  Penn First Plus Office will offer a central, supportive home at Penn where first-generation and undergraduate students of modest financial means can form a vibrant community, learn more about resources, and connect with faculty and alumni. It will include consultation rooms and student study and gathering space for collaborative work in academic advising, academic support services, financial aid, undergraduate research, and career services.

The space in College Hall will also feature offices for the Paideia Program, Penn's new central hub for developing courses, events, and co-curricular activities around  to promote civil discourse for undergraduate students. The 1,200 sq. ft space will include staff space, a conference room, and office support space. This will serve as Penn's cnetral hub for developing university-wise courses, events, and co-curricular activities that integrate wellness, service, and citizenship.
