Contractor Pre-qualification Process
The University of Pennsylvania (Penn), has a Contractor Pre-qualification system. This system allows Penn to obtain the most accurate and complete information on prospective bidders and to identify firms qualified to perform a particular task. Facilities and Real Estate Services—in its effort to increase and maximize its contractor base—invites all contractors, vendors and professional service firms to participate in its Contract Bids Program.
Completion of this process is required of all prime contractors solicited by either Penn in the following service categories:
- Construction
- Renovation
- Construction Management
- Asbestos Abatement
- Material Testing Services
Once pre-qualified, you will be placed on Penn's Approved Bidders List. This does not guarantee that you will be solicited or awarded any particular project. In order to remain pre-qualified, your firm is required to complete a new application every three (3) years.
