The Laboratory for Research on the Structure of Matter (LRSM) was funded by the federal government as a part of increasing scientific research in the 1960's.
Infrastructure Upgrades
As part of the University's Century Bond program, LRSM is currently undergoing a $42.5M infrastructure renovation, including a complete electrical and HVAC upgrade, as well as the installation of a new sprinkler system. The infrastructure upgrades are scheduled for completion in winter 2023.
