Weitzman Plaza
Weitzman Plaza
Planning Strategy:
With construction of the Weitzman Plaza, the University aims to improve campus east-west connectivity between Smith Walk and Locust Walk, increase prominence of the Weitzman School of Design (WSoD) on campus, and expand opportunities for the use of the plaza by the School and campus community.
Program:
The Yellowwoods were selected as the tree species with excellent form for the situation and for their historic significance in the area of campus. Brick and bluestone continue the character of materials in this area of campus with regionally sourced heat-treated ash for the decking.
